Lake Management Plan
June 9, 2011
Chairman Gregg Cygnar called the June 9, 2011 meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the LGLP&RD to order at 6:00 pm. Present: Township Representative Tom Zick, County Representative Mike Stoddard, Treasurer Dick Schneider and Secretary Renee Braun. Three residents attended.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA –Motion by Zick/Stoddard to approve the agenda. Motion passed.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES –Motion by Stoddard/Schneider to approve minutes. Motion passed.
FINANCIAL REPORT – Schneider reported the account balances as of June 8, 2011. General Checking balance is $15,620.52 the Savings balance is $154,562.99, the Debt Service Fund balance is $12,959.75. Equipment Repair & Replacement Fund balance is $10,221.58 and the Building Debt Service Fund is $7,424.79. Net worth for 2011 is $200,789.63 compared to $186,161.42 in 2010. Motion by Stoddard/Braun to approve the financial report. Motion carried.
SEWER REPORT – No report was submitted.
ADAPTIVE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE – Aaron Gruenewald reported that the Aquatic Plant Management Plan has been approved by Ted Johnson DNR. Residents on the North/East side of the lake reported an abundance of curly leaf growing on their shore area. Mike Ross will tend to some of the growth with the harvester. The Clean Boat program had several people at one of the public landings on Memorial Day weekend. The board would like Matt Ross to e-mail a schedule to them. Braun will start the nuisance plant permit for spraying around the piers.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
PHASE II – Nothing new to report regarding Phase II.
GRANT APPLICATION - Cygnar filed for the Grant requesting a second harvester. He made final arrangements for paying Aaron Gruenewald for the work on the Aquatic Plant Management Plan and to pay BioChemist for the herbicide treatment.
NEW BUSINESS:
ELECTION OF OFFICERS – Motion by Zick/Stoddard to keep officers as they are. Motion passed.
The paperwork for refinancing our loans through the State of Wisconsin is being finalized.
The next monthly meeting is July 14, 2011 at 6:00 pm.
Motion by Braun/Schneider to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed.
Meeting adjourned at 7:00 pm.
